The first thing everybody wants to do after the festive season is to improve there fitness or lose weight. This is often the most common New Years resolution made, and if these are your thoughts as well, set yourself a plan and do it. Here are a few tips to help you achieve this resolution, so that you don’t end up remaking it year in year out!

The first thing to do is set a time frame, and generally, 12 weeks is both sufficient and realistic. Don’t set unrealistic goals, such as trying to undo years of bad habits too quickly, as you will only set yourself up for failure. Your body can take up to 6-8 weeks to even start to change, termed the ‘transition phase’. Remember to ask yourself… how long have you been out of shape? One year? Two years? More? It isn’t fair to expect your body to drastically change in half that time, or even quarter of that time. But it can be done - no matter who you are, no matter what you do…you do have the power to change! Specific exercise routines and personalised nutritional plans can be sought, and can produce startling results for people from all walks of life. DVDs, books, products, supplements and health consultants are a great way to help you along the path to a new body. What if you could have the body you always wanted, without having to turn your life upside down to get it – without having to spend all your time in the gym doing boring exercise and starving yourself. You can even lose body fat while still enjoying your favourite foods, like pizza, pasta, chips and ice cream…every week! |
![]() Here are a few questions that will help you identify your reasons:
When you answer these questions, your reasons for making the decision to change will become clear. When they do, write them down on a piece of paper, and read what you have written first thing in the morning and again at night before you go to sleep. Do this every day through out your 12 week program. These reasons will remain guiding light, your beacon, during the journey you have now decided to begin |

Imagine waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror, and being excited about the reflection you see. Imagine not having to hide behind baggy shirts, and instead, having the energy to go all-out all day. You can achieve the confidence to do all the things you’ve been putting off, and remember… you can regain control over anything life throws at you. It doesn’t matter if you’re 22 or 82, man or woman, fit or unfit. No matter who you are, you have the power to change your body and your mind... forever. Antony Romeo |
