20 Helpful Steps in how to Succeed in Health and Wellbeing

Healthy people lead their lives on purpose with uplifting truths, empowering habits, and strong principles. Their life of success is a direct result of their conscious choices and healthy habits.

1. How do you Define Success
Most successful people define their success with happiness, inner peace, and positive contributions and staying healthy. Being financially secure certainly can help open opportunities, relieve stress. But successful people realize that all the money in the world cannot make you happy and healthy.

2. Don't Start Your Day without a Purpose or a Plan
Have crystal clear short and long-term health goals, also know exactly what you must accomplish each day to feel fulfilled as well as bring yourself closer to your goals. Take full advantage of the "Golden Hour" which is the first hour after you wake up in the morning. What you do mentally, physically, and spiritually during this first hour, sets the tone for the entire day.

3. Don't Set Perfection as a Goal
Practice progress over perfection. The danger in focusing on perfection is, you become so consumed in finding imperfections to fix. Understanding it's not about achieving one perfect goal, but the skills you develop from reaching several goals, allow yourself to make constant improvements while living a life of accomplishments you can learn from and be proud of.

4. Don't Surround Yourself with Negative People
There is energy in everything, and that includes us. As such, it's fairly easy to absorb negative energy when you are around toxic people who are always complaining, procrastinating, and making excuses. Instead, surround yourself with other positive and proactive people who inspire you.

5. Don't Focus on the Negatives
Don't entertain self-defeating negative thoughts. When faced with difficulties, identify the benefits from the experience and remind yourself you have successfully overcome many hurdles before, so you can do it again. Don't focus on what "could" go wrong, but on what they must do to succeed.

6. Don't Dwell on Failures
People accept that failure is an essential part of growth. Look at these bumps as opportunities to learn, grow, and become even better for an even bigger win ahead! Know that no matter how many times you're knocked down, as long as you get right back up and use your new strength and knowledge to improve, you haven't really failed.

7. Don't Dwell in Problems
When you focus on the problems you're facing, your behavior agrees with the resulting stress, hindering your progress while bringing on even more problems.  Focus on actions to better your current situation produce clarity and positive thoughts, opening you to the possibilities of new solutions. Quickly process any negative feelings and move on.

8. Don't Concern Yourself with How Others Judge You
Don't base any worth on what others think of you because they've set their own values, goals. Don't depend on anyone to validate you and your achievements. Everyone sees through eyes of personal life experience and individual interpretation. Understand that when someone makes a judgment about you or your life, it doesn't make it a reality unless you agree with it.

9. Don't Make Excuses
Be proactive, get things done. Outside forces may interrupt your flow, but take full responsibility for the attitude you choose in situations over which you have no control. Look forward to the pleasure and benefits of accomplishing your daily activities and do whatever it takes to avoid the pain of giving up.

10. Don't Get Jealous over Other People's Victories
Believe that there is enough supply of "wins" for everyone. Know that the more happy people there are on our planet, the stronger, more positive energy our world will be filled with. If another person succeeds at something they have not yet been able to achieve, show gratitude for their win because it can now serve as added motivation for you to reach that goal as well!

11. Don't Take Yourself for Granted
Work is important, but never as important as experiencing life. Success starts from within, so make time to give you a little attention. Take some time out, you time. If you are happy the people around you will generally be as well.

12. Don't Underestimate the Power of Fun
What's the point of all the hustle if you're always left feeling exhausted and frustrated? Know how to relax and have fun. Know the importance of taking breaks to recharge your batteries by enjoying all that they have in their life right now.

13. Don't Neglect Your Health
With good health comes the freedom and energy to fully enjoy one's life. Unless you are mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy, you cannot perform at your very best.

14. Don't Set Blurry Fitness Goals
Set clear, specific, and measurable goals. Knowing exactly what you want to achieve keeps you motivated until you get there, and crafting a clear plan of action helps de-clutter your thoughts and relieve some stress as you move towards the results you want. Having clear goals and actions also allows you to measure how far you've come and how much more you have to go, so you're not left wondering when you're supposed to begin seeing some results.

15. Don't Make Flimsy Decisions
Decide what you want, then burn the boat. Once you make a decision, set your mind to do whatever it takes to make it happen. This habit also helps build confidence by proving drive to make things happen just as you said they would.

16. Don't Allow Yourself to Be Victimized
When affected by someone else's poor choices, people quickly process any negative thoughts and feelings. Choose to free yourself from the damaging energy by forgiving and letting go. You need to place a high importance to your right to happiness and inner peace, and understand you have complete control of your thoughts and actions, and ultimately responsible for your own happiness and victories.

17. Don't Live in the Past
Realize the past has already happened and that moment no longer exist. If you keep dwelling in what was, you will be unable to fully be present for what is, thus negatively affecting what's to come. If you suffered in the past, try to recognize that you are here today, and you are OK. Your past does not define you or limit what is possible for you to achieve from this moment on. Practice your freedom and power to proactively design a better future that you so deserve.

18. Don't Resist Change
Plans, strategies or tactics might change, but instead of getting upset and frustrated, quickly shift paths because you know there is more than one way to reach your goal.

19. Don't Stop Learning
Have mentors or coaches to inspire and motivate you when challenged, and keep yourself accountable to your decisions and goals. Always learn and keep yourself open to making improvements in yourself and your live.

20. Don't End The Day Without Giving Thanks.
Be grateful for both the big and small blessings in your lives. Reflecting on the positive things from each day before going to bed can boost your mood, motivate you to keep going, and help you unwind.
